In a move to weather the storm of the EV market's cooling demand, Northvolt is streamlining its operations and trimming its workforce. The Swedish battery giant has put the brakes on its Northvolt Ett facility and is exploring strategic options for its Poland site. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) is taking a significant step towards a more sustainable electric vehicle ecosystem by establishing a pilot facility for recovering valuable materials from used EV batteries. This initiative, in collaboration with True 2 Materials (T2M), will be based at MFTBC's Kawasaki Plant and aims to evaluate the reusability of key battery components such as anode, cathode, and electrolyte materials.
