VW is in trouble! Sales are down, and their electric cars aren't doing so hot. They might have to close factories, which is making workers angry. So, we are getting ready for a big fight that could change VW and the whole European car world!
New Porsche Macan EV owners can enjoy a year of free fast charging at Electrify America stations! While each session is capped at 30 minutes, the Macan's impressive charging speed lets you get from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. Plus, with Plug&Charge, charging is as simple as plugging in – no cards or apps needed.
GM's got a new secret weapon to catch up in China's EV race: a super-fast charging battery! Teaming up with SAIC, they've made a battery that can add 124 miles of range in just 5 minutes. It's cheaper and safer too. Coming to new models next year, this could be a game-changer for GM!

EV batteries are still hungry for power even after they lose their full capacity!
Less range, same charging needs. Over time, you'll notice you can't drive as far on a single charge, but it still takes a significant amount of energy to recharge, even to that lower level.
Charging time might increase. Now, it might take a bit longer to reach "full" even though the overall capacity is reduced.
Efficiency can dip. An older battery might need a tad more energy to charge completely due to increased internal resistance.

⚡️ Hot off the Charging Port
Trending Now: The charger gets stuck in the car 😮
A Chevy Equinox EV owner reports a damaged charging port after using an Electrify America (EA) fast charger. The charger reportedly became stuck in the vehicle, and despite attempts to release it using the emergency release and restarting both the car and the charging station, the charger ultimately ripped out a piece of the charging port when it was finally removed.
The owner now faces a hefty $3,800 repair bill and is seeking coverage from both EA and the dealership warranty.
