The new MG4 has become a major hit in China, reaching 100,000 units produced in just eight months. It’s being marketed as the first mass-produced EV with a semi-solid-state battery. Pricing starts around $10,000, helping drive strong demand. The model has quickly become one of SAIC’s biggest EV successes.

Juiced has entered the electric dirt bike market with the Nomadix, priced at just $2,499. The bike can reach up to 70 mph in its top version and uses motorcycle-grade suspension and brakes. It targets the Sur Ron-style e-moto market with aggressive pricing. Deliveries are expected to begin in August 2026.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 has been tested over 600 km across highway and city driving. It delivers strong 800V fast charging, up to 335 miles of range, and a spacious three-row cabin. Seats, comfort, and road-trip ability stand out as key strengths. Some software and UI issues remain minor drawbacks.

Tesla has unredacted 17 Robotaxi crash reports from its Austin testing program. Many incidents involved other drivers rear-ending stopped vehicles. Others showed teleoperator errors and low-speed collisions with objects. The data reveals both external accidents and system limitations in autonomy testing.

Waymo issued a recall affecting 3,791 robotaxis after one vehicle drove into floodwater in San Antonio. The issue led to the car being swept into a creek, though no injuries occurred. A full software fix is being deployed over the air. The update improves flood detection and extreme weather response.

The upcoming Volkswagen ID. Polo GTI leaked ahead of its official debut. It features a 222 hp motor, 52 kWh battery, and up to 282 miles of range. A more powerful Clubsport version is also expected. VW is adding simulated driving features to keep the GTI feel alive in EV form.

Toyota has launched the bZ4X Touring (bZ Woodland in the US), its most powerful non-GR EV yet. The AWD version delivers up to 375 hp and a 0–62 mph time of 4.5 seconds. It also offers up to 367 miles of range and faster charging. Toyota is positioning it as a long-range family EV with added performance.
