Aptera has successfully completed its first production drive of a high-efficiency solar electric vehicle, marking a significant milestone toward mass production. This three-wheeled EV features a production-ready powertrain, proprietary software, and a custom battery pack within a lightweight carbon-fiber body. It boasts a potential range of up to 400 miles on a single charge and offers an optional solar system that can provide an additional 40 miles of daily range. 🚗 Ford gets new NACS adapter supplier

To address supply chain delays, Ford has started sourcing NACS adapters from a new supplier, Lectron, alongside its existing Tesla-provided adapters. This move aims to speed up adapter availability for Ford’s EV customers, providing a convenient solution for accessing Tesla’s Supercharger network. The new adapters have the same specs as Tesla’s original but with a different design. Ford continues to prioritize charging access as it transitions its EV lineup to the Tesla charging standard, with adapter shipments now expanded to meet high demand.

🔋 Hyundai charges ahead with renewable energy commitment

Hyundai has taken a significant step towards a greener future by signing Korea's largest renewable energy contract. This 20-year agreement will provide 610 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to fully charge Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 electric SUV over 7 million times. Through this initiative, Hyundai aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 5.6 million tons and plans to expand solar power installations across Korea. With its factories in the Czech Republic and Indonesia already running on 100% renewable energy, Hyundai is extending these efforts to facilities in the U.S., India, and Turkey, marking a strong global commitment to sustainability.
